Idul Fitri Getaway : Pantara Island

dua hari setelah lebaran ada yang ngajakin weekend escape ke Pulau Pantara di Kepulauan Seribu. ini pulau yang ke 7 yang gue kunjungi di kepulauan seribu setelah pulau macan, tidung, ayer, kotok, pelangi dan sepa. pulau ini adalah pulau resort dimana tidak terdapat penduduk. biasanya ke pulau resort ini biayanya lebih mahal daripada ke pulau penduduk seperti tidung atau pramuka. harga yang di patok juga sama meski di pesan dari agen perjalanan yang berbeda beda. untuk ke pulau pantera sendiri di patok harga 1,9 juta per orang. harga sudah termasuk:

- boat pp
- akomodasi
- welcome drink
- 4x meals
- free snorkeling/canoeing
- free facilities
- tax and services 21%

berangkat dari pantai marina ancol dermaga 22 jam 08.30, hari itu kapal telat 15 menit karena kami telat datang :) di kapal terdiri dari expat dan bbrp chinese-indonesia. pantesan pada ontime karena orang indonesia aslinya cuma gw doank ama temen gw :P

kurang lebih 2 jam perjalanan ke pulau. sampai di pulau ternyata kami belum bisa check in karena tamu-tamu yg datang di hari sebelumnya belum check out. sambil menunggu kamar siap, kami pun mengelilingi pulau ini. pantainya berpasir putih tapi sayang banyak karang jadi tidak begitu nyaman untuk bermain di sekitar pantai.

di pulau memiliki beberapa fasilitas seperti lapangan tenis, basket, tenis meja, kolam renang bahkan bar. setelah makan siang kami pun menuju kamar. di sini akomodasinya berupa cottage maksimal 1 cottage bisa untuk 3 orang dewasa dengan 1 extra bed.

spot untuk snorkeling ada di dekat dermaga disini kita juga bisa berjemur menikmati sinar matahari. tapi untuk melihat sunset kita harus menuju ke bagian lain di pulau ini.

pokoknya selama di pulau ini cuma ada nyebur ke laut, leyeh2 sunbathing, nyebur lagi ke laut, tidur2an pokoknya lazy day banget dan tentunya makin pas dengan teman perjalanan yang ok :)

Liaison Officer a.k.a. LO

pernah baca buku LO (Liaison Officer) yg ditulis oleh Melani Subono. berisi pengalamannya selama menjadi LO dari para artis mancanegara yg dipromotori oleh perusahaan keluarga Java Musikindo. gak sengaja gue juga pernah mengalaminya. bukan artis luar negeri atau band ternama seperti maroon 5 atau atlit dari tim sepakbola terkenal seperti Liverpool tapi LO untuk atlit lari internasional.

dalam rangka menyambut HUT Jakarta, sejak tahun 2003 rutin setiap tahun diselenggarakan lomba lari 10K. dulu tahun 2006 pernah sih ikut jadi committee tapi urusin sponsor, back drop, spanduk sponsor udah berada di titik2 yg ditentukan belum. tapi tahun 2012 dan 2013 ini gue kebagian untuk jadi LO atlit. LO sendiri singkatan dari Liaison Officer kalau diterjemahin secara harfiah itu artinya petugas penghubung. di event ini kita (LO) bertugas menjadi penghubung atlit dan pihak panitia penyelenggara. kita bertugas untuk mendampingi atlit selama mengikuti kegiatan yang disusun oleh penyelenggara. menjadi tempat informasi untuk para atlit.

tahun 2012 gue kebagian untuk mendampingi atlit Italy dan new zealand. di tahun 2013 si atlit italia kembali berpartisipasi dan kali ini gue juga kebagian untuk mendampingi atlit dari jerman. selain dua negara itu panitia juga mengundang atlit dari Russia, Ukraine, Kenya, Jepang, China, Vietnam, dll. langganan pemenang event ini biasanya atlit dari benua afrika. kenapa ya? mungkin mereka emang jago2 lari, dan keadaan iklim negaranya juga gak beda jauh ama indonesia panas.. sedangkan atlit dari benua eropa atau yang punya 4 musim pasti mengeluhkan cuaca di jakarta yang lembab membuat mereka gak maksimal dalam berlomba

sebagai LO bisa juga kok narsis foto2 tapi biasanya sesudah event karena sebelum event itu semua keadaan rusuh jadi mana sempet. atlit2 juga pada tegang konsentrasi.. nanti kalau di gangguin minta foto mulu yg ada dia buyar and gak konsen. over all it was so nice experience. i wish i could have experience jd LO untuk event yg lebih besar dengan partisipan yang lebih terkenal lagi. jadi inget ucapan salah satu atlit lari "in my country nobody care with athelete like runner. all about football" ya iyalah sepak bola mah itu olahraga paling popular di seantero dunia :)

ada pengalaman gue yang agak rusuh ketika lo tidak bisa menemukan keberadaan atlitnya. dan itu terjadi ketika atlit gue ditunggu panitia untuk penyerahan hadiah. gue telepon ke kamar gak ada gue cari di restaurant hotel gak ada, gw tungguin di lobby agak lama dan tiba2 dia muncul sambil bawa tentengan. eh ternyata dia abis ngubek2 tanah abang (ya salam)

belum lagi atlit gue minta red bull sebelum lomba. tapi ternyata red bull itu gak ada di jakarta adanya ya kratingdeng karena gambarnya banteng warna merah juga gw pikir ok lah mungkin di indonesia mereknya beda tapi rasa sama. tetep tuh atlit minta yg tulisannya red bull. gw blg ke dia kalau di indonesia ya red bull itu artinya kratingdeng jd ditulis KRATINGDAENG :) dia akhirnya mau juga coba dan blg "yeah ini rasanya sama sama red bull" mau teriak rasanya "emang sama!!!" udah gitu gak diabisin lagi ama dia. cuma diminum seteguk, keliatan cuma buat ngerjain gw aja nih kayanya.

belum lagi kabur bentar ke Ancol sama atlit yg pengen banget liat pantai di jakarta. secara pantai di jakarta cuma ancol ya gw bawa kesana aja. tdnya dia mau berenang tp mungkin dia mikir dua kali ya karena rame dan kotor pantai ancol..

I should write more blogs  of my journey long time ago but so many things distracted me. Now as I stay out from my house in tiny silent room without tv. This is good that you don’t watch tv much, cause tv program could mislead you sometimes. All you see in tv is non reliable.. really too many drama, and fake things shown.

2013 should start with so many things for better future. More writings, more sports, more praying, more exploring, etc… 2012 I only able to write 1 post while I have some trips to share but I got distracted almost for 2012. it was amazing year, year when I met someone that changed me to see what love is even until now I couldn’t understand it. N now already April close to mid of year I still not productive enough to write and develop my blog better.

But before I share my trip including my Europe trip back in spring time 2011,  I would like to share amazing moment i had  in 2006 when I was awarded for Short course of Italian language in Siena, Italy. It was awesome. First time in my life travel abroad, Europe, Italy.. and living for 3 months that more than I ever imagine. I was so lucky at that moment.. far before travel book, journal book is popular like now days. I already write in my diary gifted from my best friend all things I had in summer course. flash back to a moment to remember all time..

Semua berawal dari tahun terakhir di Universitas dimana kita diharuskan menyusun tugas akhir demi menyelesaikan masa studi kita atau yang lebih keren disebut dengan “SKRIPSI” susah payah mencari ide akhirnya gue memutuskan untuk menulis tentang Diplomasi Kebudayaan Italia terhadap Indonesia. Kebetulan pada saat itu kampus sedang bekerja sama dengan pusat kebudayaan Italia (IIC) untuk pemberian mata kuliah bahasa Italia. Suatu hari dosen kami yang cantik Antonella memberitahu bahwa Pemerintah Italia setiap tahun memberikan beasiswa kepada mahasiswa asing (termasuk Indonesia) untuk belajar bahasa Italia di 2 universitas terkenal di Italia yaitu Universita per Stranieri di Perugia dan Universita per Stranieri di Siena. Siapa sih yang gak mau belajar di luar negeri di bayarin pula. Meski gak full scholar ship tetep aja kalo kt syahrini “sesuatu” jadilah gw juga berminat untuk ikut apalagi gw ada motivasi untuk menunjang penulisan skripsi gw. (walau pada akhirnya skripsi gw selesai sebelum gw berangkat ke Italy).

Proses untuk daftar beasiswa ini (pada saat itu) isi formulir, lengkapi dokumen-dokumen seperti surat rekomendasi dari dosen, foto, dll (udah lupa sangking udah jadulnya ama memori otak yang overload) anyway setelah registrasi administrasi lulus, gw ikut tes wawancara (sekarang sebelum wawancara ada tes tertulis A1 dan A2 jd disarankan untuk les di IIC sebelumnya). Dan setelah wawancara ternyata gw lulus untuk program bahasa ini 3 bulan (meski yakin isi di form 6bln) di Universita per Stranieri di Siena.

Ternyata diperlukan satu tahun dan beberapa tahap administrasi lainnya seperti pembebasan fiskal dari dirjen pajak (ketahuan ya tuanya jaman dulu msh ada fiskal yang mencapai nominal 1 juta), cari tiket (karena tiket bayar sendir) asuransi perjalana, urus visa di kedutaan, dll. Berangkatlah gw dan 9 peserta lainnya (Bayu, hendra, ola, dian, rega, elina, siska, sandy + Shieni yang berangkat secara terpisah) yang berasal dari beberapa kota di Indonesia (dan lulusan universitas negeri ternama, sepertinya Cuma gw doank lulusan universitas swasta diantara merek J ) pd awal July 2006 (lupa –lagi -  pasti tanggalnya) tapi hari itu pas hari kamis. Dengan menumpang pesawat Kuwait Airways yand berangkat pada tengah malam. Kebanyakan dari kami pergi untuk kali pertama ke luar negeri (Eropa-red) dalam kurun waktu yang cukup lama (sebagian akan stay hingga 6bln) maka tidak heran jika tim pengatar kami pun banyak mulai dari ortu, kakak, adik, om, tante, kakek, nenek). Setelah pamitan dengan keluarga masing2 kami pun check in dan boarding. Perjalanan ini akan menempuh total perjalanan sekitar 16jam dengan transit di Kuwait. Ternyata ada delay sekitar 5jam di Kuwait, kami pun dapat akses untuk menikmati breakfast di lounge airport. Dan kami pun akan terlamabt 5jam tiba di Rome. Rencananya di rome 2 malam kami akan menginap di Wisma KBRI Rome. Kami masih bingung bgmn caranya ke KBRI, mencoba menghubungi seorang teman di Italia, dia yang akhirnya membantu kami di Airport begitu kami tiba. Dikarenakan kami ada 8 orang (seperti group tour) kami memutuskan untuk naik taxi ke KBRI. Mau gaya ama gak mau repot and gak tau apa-apa kita pede aja naik taksi yang ternyata tarifnya itu 80euro (80 x 11.000 = 880,000 rupiah!) untuk sampai ke KBRI, untungnya satu taksi share 4 org jd 80euronya bias di share 4 gak terlalu nyesek banget lah ya…

Changing a.k.a revolution

one day a friend said "you have to change, your mind, you laziness, there is no point to keep complain if you dont start to change" kata kata ini sangat menusuk ya kena banget sebenarnya bukan dia aja sih yang pernah bilang gitu tapi beberapa temen baik juga bilang yang sama. i think i have to start now or never. cause i dont have much time, in couple weeks i am going 30, then my sister big day, i have to lose weight before that day. otherwise i read that when you get older it become harder to lose weight. meski semua bilang bukan masalah fisik yang buat gw belum dapet pasangan, tapi menurut gw sih harus dimulai dari situ segala bentuk kecemasan dan kekhawatiran yang muncul di benak gw. gw selalu merasa that there is something wrong with my body. im over weight..



tinggi 165cm dengan berat 70kg itu too much, ukuran 14 itu sangat tidak nyaman, susah carinya.. selai itu sih lebih untuk kesehatan aja, terasa banget waktu ngetrip harus jalan jauh bawa back pack, kalau badan berat itu lebih susah, bagaimanapun kalo kurus kan lebih gampang bergerak. so my plan is every day 30min exercise either some routines or run then one hour every weekend in the morning for an hour exercise like jogging or swimming. im thinking to join Zumba class or gym but not sure yet.

for diet menu, i will reduce carbo and more eat fruit and veggie, but i cant stop my sncaking time, damn so hard to pass that chips, chocolate, biscuit.. :(

according to a healthy life site said that for living healthy some steps below could help for living healty, such as:

Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, whole grains such as tempe, tofu and foods that contain lots of fiber. At least once or twice a day to consume green vegetables and fruits.

Avoid excessive weight or obesity. Research shows, due to obesity, the risk of cancer is greater in particular breast, uterus, colon, stomach, kidney, and gallbladder.

Reduce foods high in fat, such as butter, margarine, and milk. Better get your intake of natural fats from nuts or seeds. Forget viscera, brain, food with thick coconut milk, chicken skin and egg yolks. Choose lean meats, food with clear soup, low-fat milk, soy milk, yogurt, egg whites, and fish as a good source of protein.

Limit processed foods with a high temperature and a long time or a certain treatment that can cause food procarcinogens such as salted, smoked, baked, roasted until it comes out charcoal (charred). The best thing is the food that is boiled.

Be careful with the use of artificial sweeteners, food coloring and preservatives excessive. The best food is fresh food.

Choose foods or beverages that natural white (not in-bleach). Use the coloring of foodstuffs such as chocolate from cocoa powder cafe, strowbery red, saffron yellow, and green leaves suji. Do not add sauce, soy sauce, salt and spices flavoring excessively. Expand eat fruits and vegetables.

Food is kept clean, diverse, and free from environmental contamination substances. Food processing techniques also affect the quality of the food. Choose a method of cooking food with steamed, boiled, or fried with a little oil.

Should not be excessive consumption of beverages containing alcohol and smoking.

Physical activity with regular exercise with mental and spiritual health is an integral part of cancer prevention

Drink plenty of water, mineral 8 glasses a day, avoid alcohol, soda and drinks with high sugar content and caffeine. Vegetable and fruit juices to keep and maintain good health

dan dari semua itu, i want to keep myself busy, stop dreaming and thinking impossible thing will happened. i just want to forget you.

good bye 2012 and welcome 2013

end of year 2012 finally and this is my first blog in 2013. i can see that i was not so productive post some words here, only 1 post in 2012 that's so not good things. well 2012 was memorable year, many memorable moments happened. people come and go and some of stay and leave foot print in my life and my heart. there were new friend, old friends, forever friends. in 2012 almost resolutions i made in the early year not yet achieved. i think so many times i wasted last year, chasing impossible love, thinking and dreaming all time for some impossible thing, love, work, travel but still i have to be grateful that i still can see some beautiful places with beautiful people, friend, stranger. end of the year i have closing trip to Thailand and Malaysia. it was great the journey not really with the destination.

there is no resolution but i wish i could write more and be better person, and more people to meet and places to see. by the way 2013 will be year for my new age, new era, I'm going 30! great! when everybody i know is getting married or pregnant and have kids, I'm going greater than ever...

Belitung weekend getaway

Belitong 1-3 June 2012

Friday 1^st June,

Last weekend me and a friend had getaway to Belitong Islands in South Sumatera. We departed from Jakarta to Tanjung Pandan (the capital city of Belitong) on Friday afternoon by Sriwijaya Air. there are 3 flight companies have route Jakarta – Tanjung Pandan beside Sriwijaya airlines there are Garuda or Batavia Air. But sriwijaya has 4 flights a day, this is more than other flight for example Batavia air only one flight a day. We booked the latest flight that was at 14.35. the flight was delayed almost 1 hour, because in tanjung pandan was heavy rain so the runway was wet and the vision was not clear enough for landing.

Almost 16.00 finally we boarded, and more less 50 minutes flight, we arrived in Tanjung Pandan airport. The airport is small and the runway is short, that’s why the plane that fly there is not big plane one. The flight was okay, the weather is cloudy. We were picked up by the hotel pick up service and it took around 30 minutes to reach the hotel. We choose the hotel near down town and facing the Tanjung Pendam Beach. From this beach we can see the sunset moment. Well we expected to see it but it was raining so no sun L

The hotel where we stayed, I think 3 star hotel, pretty new and neat it called Gran Hatika Hotel. At that time we got 765K net for 1 deluxe room inclusive breakfast for 2 persons. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food from its restaurant was good. The only one problem is so many mosquito in the room, I don’t know how or why? The hotel has nice swimming pool too. The hotel like other hotel here also provide package for full board but of course costing too much. As we don’t need full board package we try to arrange the rest by ourselves.

the problem is there is no public transportation in Belitung so you need to rent a car or motor bike. If you go in group of 5 or 6 people you can choose the car rental. The price range around 400K – 500K a day inclusive a driver,  Exclusive gasoline and parking fee. If you a solo traveler or couple and can ride a motorbike you can feel different feeling beside the road in Belitung pretty smooth. For renting a motor bike around 100k-150k a day exclusive gasoline. We decided to rent a motor bike. We were so lucky got contact with a friend that live in Belitung. She arranged the motor rent with very good deal. It is little bit difficult to explore the island if you don’t use guide service or tour agent, cause the infrastructure in Belitong is still developing so not many information or tourist center to help you explore the island. Our tips is get contact or socialize with local people. You can try with hang out in the typically Belitong Coffee shop to get some information from the local that usually spend time in the kind of this coffee shop.

There was not much we did on the first day, as it was heavy and stormy rain in the evening. We met our local friend to take over the motor bike and decided to have dinner together in a restaurant in Tanjung Pendam beach, but raining so heavy and our dinner become a wet one J. After raining stop we went to down town to find Martabak Manis, our friend took us to the best one, and it was. We back to hotel and directly went to bed cause we need to wake up at 7 am next morning to have island hooping.

Saturday 2^nd June,

Today the weather seem sunny this is good cause we are going to do island hooping. After having breakfast in hotel we driving 45 minutes to Tanjung Kelayang beach to rent a boat and do islands hopping. Beside from tanjung kelayang, you can also rent boat and depart to do island hooping from tanjung binga. Thanks again to our friend, we got a boat with good deal 350k and snorkeling gear and life vest cost 45k. first island is Pulau Pasir (Sand Island) small island with white sand. The water was so clear, we can’t help ourselves to jumped into the water and swimming. And of course taking pictures J. Then we moved to Pulau Batu Berlayar (Sailing Rocks Island) as its name, the island composed with bunch of rocks, giant rocks. I think that it is the characteristic of the beach in Belitong islands that the beach composed with rocks. After we hooped to Lengkuas Island. This island pretty big with a light house that we can climb up to the top and see an amazing view of the island from the top of it. Really I can through 305 stairs or compare to 18^th floor to witness the spectacular view from the top. We need to pay a contribution 5k per person to enter and go up the light house.

We spend longer time in Pulau Lengkuas, cause we had our lunch here also like other visitor. For your information, there is no restaurant or place to get food or drink in this island and other island around cause they are empty islands. So you need to bring your own drink and food before depart (you can get them in Tanjung Kelayang Beach) or prepare meals from home.  Again we can’t help ourselves to jumped into the water cause the water is so clear like swimming pool and the sand more white and delicate. Before going to our next destination we stopped in the middle of the sea and did snorkeling. The underwater view in Belitong is pretty enough even not too much varieties of coral or fish, but that was okay tho’. The fourth island we hooped is Pulau Burung (Bird islands) called like that because the rock shape forming like a bird J.  Even the sand not that delicate like in Lengkuas Island one but the water even more clear than others.. the sun is so sunny so jumping to the sea and swimming was the right things to do there J .  the last island is Pulau Babi ( Pig Island ) called like that because in this island were many sea porcupine or urchin. But this island not that special so we decided back to Tanjung Kelayang Beach as the time showed 15.00 in the afternoon.

That island hooping was tiring and make us hungry again, so we had another meals in Tanjung Kelayang Beach restaurant or in bahasa called “warung”. They have menu like grill fish, the famous soup fish and many else. After we driving about 2km to Tanjung Tinggi Beach. The famous beach for shooting location of movie, video clip and TV commercial. But it wasn’t really like our expectation when we saw it on TV. The sand is white with clear water and huge rocks spread along the beach, but around the beach was pretty dirty with garbage. That was a pity. I heard that we can do camping in this beach cause this beach is the best spot to see the sunrise. Its almost 17.00 and we in rush to reach Tanjung Pendam beach to see the sunset. Well we missed the sunset but it was ok.

Its Saturday night and Tanjung Pendam beach is the center of night life in Belitong. Many café and restaurant that have life music starting around 8pm. I heard from our friend that every Thursday and Saturday night more people hang out there. Too bad we are so tired after the island hooping so we decided to having dinner in the hotel n go to bed earlier as tomorrow we back to Jakarta. Like I wrote before the food from the hotel was delicious, tasty, really. We ordered Seafood fried rice, Seafood Kweu tiaw, fried shrimp, capcay, and drinks. The price also not too expensive as 1 portion could be shared with 2 or even 3 persons. What a perfect dinner with nice company, night to remember..

Sunday 3^rd June

Belitong also famous through the movie “Laskar Pelangi” based on best seller novel by Andre Hirata, he is originally come from Belitong from Belitung Timur exactly. The novel based on his own life story. With a message that even he came from small island with lack of education facilities but he can achieved his dream to got scholar ship to Paris. So don’t be afraid to dream. The success of his novel and the movie makes Belitong known and people wondering to visit and to see the setting and back ground of the novel and the movies. too  bad the village where the writer comes from is 1.5 hour driving from Tanjung Pandan, as we had flight on 16.05 we need to be in the airport a hour before, so the latest we should leave hotel at 14.30 and as it was Sunday, lazy day, we woke up late, so we decided just look around with motor bike and took some interesting pictures of the local people, local’s houses, even we saw wedding ceremony. We tasted the typically Belitong coffee and Mie Belitong (typically noodle) must try, recommended.. 

Today the weather also pretty sunny, we try the coffee from the coffee shop that the hotel staff suggested us. I tried the famous mie Belitung too. We went to swimming pool to refresh ourselves. After giving back the motorbike to our friend we check out hotel and go to airport, and again there was big rain and of course the flight was delayed for an hour because of the weather matter. I would like to come back to Belitong hopefully this time with someone who love me back. The one, the special one…

Facts :

-          Only in Belitung maybe u met the same group in the hotel, in the island hooping and in the airport.

-          When we arrived was raining and when we departed also raining

-          We got seat always in the right side, seat D and E (in the aisle and middle) and the seat F (near window) always empty, from Jakarta or from Belitung. Even the seat was all occupied beside that one.
